1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using waddledee.site (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Who We Are / Contact

3. Accounts & Authentication

Some features require an account. You may sign in using third-party providers (currently Google via Firebase Authentication) or use Firebase anonymous authentication. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Do not share your account credentials.
If you believe your account was accessed without authorization, contact us immediately at the address above.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC)

You retain ownership of content you upload (machines, images, text, etc.). By uploading content you grant waddledee.site a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute and display that content within the Service (for example, showing machines in the Community Garage).

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to upload your content and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.

5. Prohibited Content & Community Conduct

When using the Service you must not:

Upload illegal content, sexually explicit content, harassment, hate speech, or material that promotes violence or discrimination;
Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
Impersonate another person or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation;
Spam, advertise, or otherwise misuse the Service for commercial promotion without our permission;
Attempt to hack, probe, or otherwise interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

6. Moderation, Removal & Termination

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove or refuse to post any content, and to suspend or terminate user accounts and access to the Service for violations of these Terms or for any other reason (including inactivity or technical reasons).

We may, but are not required to, provide notice before removing content or terminating an account.

7. Virtual Currency & Items ("DEES" and "Tickets")

The Service may include virtual currency and items (currently referred to as “DEES” and “Tickets”). These items have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money, goods, or services. We reserve the right to modify, reset, remove, or otherwise change virtual currency or item balances at any time.

8. Third-Party Services & Hosting

The Service relies on third-party providers to operate (for example, Google Firebase for authentication, storage, and database services, and IMGBB for hosting images uploaded via the community sharing feature). You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the practices, availability, security, or content policies of these third parties. If a third-party service fails or changes its terms, we are not liable for resulting data loss or service disruption.

9. Copyright & DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content hosted on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us at waddledeeliveries@googlegroups.com with a notice containing the following information:

Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
Identification of the material you claim is infringing and where it is located on the Service (include URLs if possible);
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and
Your electronic signature (typed name) on the notice.

We will respond to valid copyright complaints by removing or disabling access to infringing content. This policy applies only to user-generated content, not to the thematic or stylistic elements of the Service itself (such as character references or fan art).

10. Disclaimers of Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Use the Service at your own risk. This is a fan project and is not affiliated with Nintendo or HAL Laboratory.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall waddledee.site or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access, or damages related to third-party services.

12. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the operator’s country of residence. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

Privacy Policy

1. Overview

waddledee.site ("we", "our") is a non-profit fan project. We collect the minimum amount of data required for accounts to function. All personal information is handled through Google Firebase services.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information directly. Instead, all user data is collected and processed by Firebase, including:

Google Login Data: When you sign in using Google, Firebase Authentication provides us with:
- Your Google display name
- Your Google profile picture (if available)
- Your Google account email
- Your Firebase User ID (a unique identifier)
Anonymous Accounts: If you use anonymous login, Firebase creates an anonymous user ID without requiring any personal information.
User-generated content: Any machines, images, or settings you save are stored in Firebase Firestore.

We do not receive or store your Google password.

3. How We Use This Information

The data we receive from Firebase is used only to:

Log you into your account
Store your creations and progress
Prevent abuse and maintain security

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

Your data is processed by:

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Firebase may use cookies or local storage to keep you signed in and ensure security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data Deletion

If you delete your account, all associated data stored in Firebase (including creations) will be removed permanently.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where required). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

IMGBB Image Hosting

When users upload screenshots or images for community machine sharing, those files are hosted by a third-party service: IMGBB.

IMGBB may collect certain technical information during the upload process, including:

The uploaded image file itself
File size and format
Upload timestamp
The uploader’s IP address (logged automatically for security and abuse prevention)

All images uploaded through the Service are subject to IMGBB’s own Privacy Policy and Terms:
